Katharina Mullen

is a vitality and mindfulness trainer working with leaders and their teams, leading the organisation BeVital.eu. In Belgium, she is the initiator and co-founder vzw MOMENT, an association of mindfulness trainers, practitioners and researchers; and coordinator at the Leuven Mindfulness Centre, KU Leuven (https://ppw.kuleuven.be/home/mindfulness/), an interdisciplinary research centre supporting high quality research on mindfulness. She is a board member of EAMBA, the European Association of Associations for Mindfulness based Approaches. Her background is in medical and cultural anthropology, she has done elaborate anthropological field research in Algeria, Mexico and Indonesia, as well as epidemiological research while being a lecturer in preventive medicine at the university Leiden, Netherlands, and head of teacher training in preventive and social medicine at the teachers’ college Rotterdam, Netherlands. She publishes articles on vitalising and mindful leadership and how to energise individuals and organisations, a.o. in CxO Magazine, a Belgian Business publication.
